Description
very attractive Rolex 1680 RED MK4. The dial and hands match well and are visually pleasing with nicely patina’d luminous. The case is in excellent vintage condition and has been recently detailed back to factory specs. The insert is a MK3 and is original to the watch and the band is a 93150 flip lock in excellent condition. Reference and serial are crisp between the lugs and the caseback. The movement winds smoothly and the watch is keeping excellent time and was fully serviced in 2020. The watch is sold with it original box.
Notes:
The “MARK IV” was the first “feet first” depth rated dial to be released by Rolex and was produced for about 2 years 1971-1972. MK4 dials all feature the red ‘SUBMARINER’ printed on top of white lettering along with open sixes in the depth rating.
