For the GMT collector here we have a fantastic glossy gilt dial from the mid 60s. We sourced this watch from the original owner who bought it while on vacation. The case is in excellent vintage condition and has never been repolished and the serial and reference numbers are clearly visible. The insert is very desirable dark red and blue small triangle which is seldom seen these days and coveted by collectors. The bracelet is a Swiss rivet band dated 1967- its unclear if this was original to the watch. The movement is running strong and keeping excellent time. The watch is accompanied by its original box, booklets and chronometer certificate. Owner is looking for the papers.

The Rolex GMT-Master 1675 with a gilt dial is an iconic model that has a rich history and several notable evolutions throughout its production. Here's an overview of its evolution and historical significance
Introduction: The Rolex GMT-Master 1675 was introduced in 1959 as an evolution of its predecessor, the GMT-Master 6542. The 1675 retained the key features of the 6542, including the ability to display multiple time zones using the 24-hour hand and rotating bezel. Gilt Dial Era: During the early production years of the GMT-Master 1675, Rolex used gilt dials, which had gold text and markers printed on a glossy black surface. These dials are highly sought-after by collectors due to their aesthetic appeal. Gilt dials were typically produced from the late 1950s to the mid-1960s.
