In 1983 the GMT-Master 16760 was released. The first GMT where the 24-hour hand can be set independently from the traditional 12-hour hand. The movement was also upgraded to the Caliber 3085 and the stainless case had a wider profile to accommodate the new movement thus dubbing it the "fat lady".
This particular example is as good as it gets. The patina on the lume has aged to a perfect light orange color and the dial has become matt and tropical brown. I suspect the dial will continue to age and further turn brown based on the current appearance. The case is super crisp and unpolished and the bracelet is tight.
this watch is currently being serviced and will be delivered once fully overhauled.
