Rootbeer 1675 from 1972
The 2 tone Rolex GMT-Master 1675, often referred to as the "Root Beer," is a classic vintage watch that was produced by Rolex. It's part of the GMT-Master family of watches and was manufactured from the late 1950s to the late 1970s. The "Root Beer" nickname is derived from the distinctive brown and gold color combination used in some of the dials and bezels of this model, which resembles the colors of the soft drink.
The Rolex GMT-Master 1675 featured a 40mm stainless steel case, and it was powered by the Rolex Caliber 1575 movement. One of the notable features of this watch is its 24-hour hand and bi-directional rotating bezel, which allowed the wearer to track a second time zone, making it a popular choice among pilots and frequent travelers.
This particular example has a beautiful original dial and hands in absolutely perfect condition. The case is a bit worn however some of the original bevels are still present and the serial and reference numbers are crisp. The insert has faded to a charcoal grey and gold color and the bezel is sharp. Movement is running excellently and the watch is sold on a strap with original rolex buckle.
